Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Presto! IPTV app ("the app") for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, published on the Apple App Store. It does not cover the IPTV providers, playlists, or programme-guide (EPG) sources you choose to connect — those are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies.
What the developer collects
Nothing. We, the developer, run no servers, no account system, and no analytics. We do not receive, store, or have any access to your data. We cannot see your accounts, your provider, or what you watch.
What stays on your device
Everything the app saves is kept locally on your device and is never transmitted to us:
- Provider accounts — Xtream Codes or M3U/EPG URLs and usernames, stored locally on the device.
- Passwords — stored in the device's secure system Keychain, never in plain files.
- Your cached catalogue (channels, movies, shows), favourites, bookmarks, watch history / resume positions, and, on iPhone & iPad, any downloaded videos — all stored locally.
You can remove this data at any time from within the app (clearing caches, deleting accounts, or removing downloads) or by deleting the app.
Network connections the app makes
- Your IPTV provider. The app connects only to the server, playlist, and guide URLs you enter, to load your catalogue, programme guide, artwork, and video streams. This is a direct connection between your device and your provider; it does not pass through us.
- Apple's iTunes Search API (optional, off by default). If you turn on "Look up missing movie info" in Settings, the app may query Apple's public iTunes Search API to fill in a missing film synopsis. This reveals only that film's title to Apple. It is disabled by default, and your provider's own details are always used first. Leave it off to keep browsing fully private.
The app sends a single neutral, non-identifying User-Agent to every server, refuses tracking cookies, and — where your provider also supports HTTPS — automatically upgrades to an encrypted connection.
Subscriptions & payments
Presto! offers an optional premium subscription with a free trial. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see or receive your payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
To unlock premium features and restore purchases across your devices, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase and transaction details together with an app-generated, anonymous identifier and basic device/SDK information. It does not receive your name or email, your IPTV accounts or credentials, or anything about what you watch, and it is not used for advertising. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
Tracking and advertising
The app does no tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. There are no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers of any kind. We do not build profiles of you, and we do not sell or share your personal data.
Children
The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children. Because it can load arbitrary user-supplied internet streams whose content we do not control, it is rated 17+ and is not directed at children.
A note on lawful use
Presto! is an empty media player and ships with no channels or content. You are responsible for using only content you are legally entitled to access — your own provider subscription, free over-the-air streams, or other sources you have the rights to use.
Security
Passwords are held in the system Keychain. The on-device catalogue and downloads are protected by the operating system's file protection. Provider credentials are never written to a disk cache.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
